Executive summary
This report ranks companies and sectors by fee transparency and pricing practices as of Q3 2026. Rankings are based on publicly available information about fee disclosure and price changes.
Transparency criteria
Companies are evaluated on whether they disclose all mandatory fees before the checkout stage, whether they provide clear unit pricing, and whether their price changes are communicated to consumers in advance. Scores are on a 0-100 scale, with higher scores indicating greater transparency. The methodology is described in detail on our methodology page.
Sector patterns
Transparency varies significantly by sector. Technology and financial services companies tend to score higher, while travel, ticketing, and telecom companies tend to score lower. Within sectors, there is meaningful variation — some companies in low-transparency sectors stand out for their disclosure practices.
Limitations
These rankings are based on publicly available information and may not capture all fee structures or pricing practices. Company scores may change over time as policies evolve. This report is educational and does not constitute an endorsement or criticism of any specific company.
